Qld: Two drown in pools on Gold Coast
BRISBANE, Feb 23 AAP - A 12-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl have drowned in separate
swimming pool accidents on Queensland's Gold Coast.
The boy was dragged unconscious from a swimming pool at Conrad Jupiters Casino hours
after he arrived in Australia with his family on holiday from China.
A casino spokeswoman said the boy was swimming with a group of people when the incident
occurred just after 7pm (AEST) yesterday.
A security guard pulled the boy from the pool after hearing members of the group screaming
for help.
