Queensland Education Minister Anna Bligh today said she had no problem with teachersmeeting outside school hours, but it was premature for them to be taking industrial action.
"Uncertainty and disruption across Queensland state schools compromises both the educationof our children and the reputation of the public education system," Ms Bligh said.
"The government is not prepared to put either of these at risk."
Ms Bligh said the government was committed to negotiating in good faith in the lead-upto the teachers' current pay deal expiring on February 28.
