VIC: Donations pouring into bushfire victims appeals
MELBOURNE, Dec 4 AAP - Donations and expressions of sympathy have poured into an appeal for
the families of the five volunteer firefighters killed in the Linton bushfire on Wednesday.
The appeal was launched by the City of Greater Geelong and the Country Fire Authority
(CFA).
By this afternoon, Bendigo Bank had received more than $45,000 in pledges and donations.
Donations to The Linton Appeal can be sent directly to any branch of the bank in Victoria
or by mail to Freepost 1, Bendigo Bank, PO Box 480, Bendigo Vic, 3552.
Interstate donors can call 1300 366 666 and quote their credit card number from 8am to 8pm
weekdays and 10am to 6pm weekends.
Donations over $2 are tax deductible.
